Namerolls are a system where the name in each post is randomly chosen from a list of rollable names. It was first seen on Soyjak.party on May 2025.

The nameroll system is a contrast to the normal imageboard system, where everyone has a generic username (like "Anon" for 4chan and "Chud" for the sharty), with the only exception being boards where you are allowed to set a name or jannies and admins.

Some namerolls change your message, by adding some text to the end of it for example.
